Protective structures ROPS & TOPS & FOPS & OPG & OHG

Self-propelled building machinery or industrial carts working on a building site or in mining are exposed to the risk of overturning or falling object on the machine.

To safe better the driver or operator, self-propelled machines are equipped with protective structures:

Roll-Over Protective Structures (ROPS);

Tip-Over Protective Structures (TOPS);

Falling-Object Protective Structures (FOPS);

Operator Protective Guards (OPG);

Overhead Guards (OHG).

In order to declare the cab or structure of machine as the protective structure, it shall be subjected to destructive test.
